How does wheel load rating relate to towing capcity?

How does wheel load rating relate to towing capcity?

Im trying to figure out how much i can tow with a wheel that has 2700lb rating? I switched to the H2 wheel and it is less than the factory steelies so Whats the formula or conversion process????? __________________

2700*2= 5400lbs... That's that max load the rear axle can handle at that point. Not necessarily less able to 'pull' a load, but less able to handle a heavy tongue weight.

Where did you find the 2700#capacity?

its actually 2769 lbs for the old style, not to sure about the new style?

As far as pulling i never have a real heavy tongue weight but i definately tow more than 6k
