What kind of hitch do you have? Is it a bumper pull, a 5th wheel, a gooseneck or something else? How much does your trailer weigh? Do you know what percentage of the load is on the tongue?

You say the truck is bouncing around, but are you really saying that it is swaying a lot, or really bouncing up and down?

just a normal 2inch drop with 2inch ball trailer is 1400 pounds

OK, you still are not that clear here, but it sounds like you have the usual cat 3 trailer hitch. Is that right? Or is the ball mounted directly on to the bumper?

Just to clarify, you say the trailer weighs 1400 lbs, but what is the total weight of the load on the trailer? What percentage of the load is on the tongue? Still unsure if you are talking about the dreaded trailer sway or the truck bouncing up and down. Do you know the importance of balancing a trailer load?

The tongue weight on a bumper pull has to be at least 10% of the trailer weight, or else the trailer will toss the tow car around, creating a very dangerous control problem. That's usually the mistake made by newcomers.

I've seen entire rigs layi down on their side on the freeway due to this mistake.

Perhaps the 2014 truck has rear coil suspension.

You need to post what truck you have. It sounds like not enough tongue weight.
