You need to break engine in some more before judging pulling capabilty.
The service manual stresses that these trucks like to pull, it stops short of saying that running them without a load abuses the engine, the more you pull the better they run.
It takes thousands of miles to break these engines in.
I do agree on the ez though, the engine runs more efficient with it. EPA dictates detuning the engine to clean up emissions.
You'll get more smoke but not all the time.

I am thinking of installing a jake brake how do you like yours and do you consider it money well spent?
