First HEAVY towing experience with my Dodge 2012 3500 DRW.
Another observation on my truck today pulling 41K. (500 miles) On a up hill that I was holding at 75 in 6th gear my pyro would go up to 1420 (H&S on wild) when my truck would downshift to 5th the pyro would go to 1550 again Im sill holding steady at 75. Really what is the point of the downshift
So I just ran the H&S on Hot. Cooler egts on a hill then downshifting to 5th

Another update. I now have 19k on the truck. Same deleted items as I prevoiusly mentioned before. I'm still heading to WV 2 times a month. Still upper 8's to mid 9's on my fuel mileage. Handling while towing has been great. I failed to mentioned that in my last update. I run my airbags at 50lbs of air pressure. Seem to be the ticket for my kingpin weight.
Now this past weekend. I was towing my 30 Enclosed trailer with 2 RZR XP900's in it. Maybe 10K of weight. While coming up Hwy 10 from Pineville WV towards Princeton WV. Very curvie road that you have to be in 1st or second gear. So I'm climbing up a very curvie steep inclined road for maybe 15 minutes. Tranny temps got up to 235 and I pulled over. I know there was no air flow that was causing that. I sure didnt like having to pull over but I figured it was for the best.
I talked to a guy that I know that works on a ton of Dodge trucks new and old. He mentioned I would be good tranny temp wise up 265 for small amounts of time. Sounds crazy but this guy does nothing but work on Dodges... Anyone have any experience with high tranny temps on a 4th gen trucks?
