Fifth Wheels & Megacabs

Anybody with a Megacab/Fiver combination yet?

The long wheel base looks like it should be stable when towing.

I think you will find the wheelbase is the same as a 2005 quad long bed.

I believe it is the same as the LB 05, bad thing is the length of the bed. Very short. Hopefully they will come out with an 8ft bed. I see alot of crushed cabs in the future..

The use of a slider hitch should make it OK.

Who wants to get out and slide the hitch everytime they get in a tight spot, might not be bad if you only tow a couple times a year but not for the commercial hauler like myself.

They make an auto slider, pricy though. A lot of my buddies have pin extension and very rarely use their manual slides.

All in all the megacab is huge inside. But for towing alot I think I'll stick with my 8ft bed
