Fifth-wheel to Gooseneck adapter plates
A buddy is thinking about moving and wants me to help him move. He has 2 gooseneck horse trailers to move his stuff and wants me to pull one of them. My truck is not set up for a GN trailer. This will be kind of a one time thing, so I do not want do drill a big hole in my bed. I do, however, have a 20K Reese fifth-wheel hitch in the bed.
Has anyone used those Gooseneck adapter plates that mount to the fiver hitch rails? How sturdy and stable are they? Any pros or cons to using them? My buddy said he would buy it for me and let me keep it in exchange for helping him.
I don't know if this link will work, but this is what we are thinking of:

Thanks for any info.

Thanks guys. He won't know for about a month whether or not he even got the job, so this all may be for nothing. I am interested in the plate however, cause the wife is gettin the itch for horses when we retire, and will need something to pull a decent size trailer with then anyway.
Thanks......Steve
Thanks......Steve
