Nice article, but I would have liked to see more Cummins-equiped trucks in that pull. The Dodge they had was mild.

USDieselParts ran his personal truck, a 2004.5 Dodge Cummins 600/Auto. Moe's Dodge was equipped with a 5" exhaust - ending with a monster 6" tip, aftermarket 48RE automatic transmission, Edge Juice, an AFE Stage II air intake kit, 33" tall tires, water injection, and a High Ram intake plenum. These mods allowed for a significant performance improvement over stock, achieving 67-mph in 59 seconds. As is the case with most runs made by modified trucks, the new Cummins produced an exhaust temperature max of more than 1400° during the final portion of the pull

all the max had was a chip, and intake :o

What's up with the extreme caster and camber changes on the front of the GM trucks???

Ive asked this before. I understand that this is a side-effect of the IFS.
This only occurs when the truck is in 4 wheel drive and the HP/Torque going to the front wheels causes the caster/camber to be pulled out of alignment.
This is very noticeble on some of the GM trucks found in truck pulls.

Do these guys pay to get to do this? I hauls loads like this quite often Plus get paid to do it maybe next i can put my loads with guy that want to try out their trucks and charge them and still get paid to move the load [laugh] [whistle]

Heck thats an all dumpamax web site....Of course they're gonna make the Fords look bad, and they dont wanna be embarassed by the Dodge

And which Dmax do you see with JUST an intake and chip?

I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest here, just trying to prove my point :D
Notice how this "unbiased" writer types in stuff like "in just 57 seconds" for a Dmax, yet the Ford which beats it is "in 53 seconds".

OK so this PULL OFF proves that a stock Dmax is just OK. But when you put a real Allison tranny and a lot of other mods on the truck it will just haul butt. Oh yeah you also have ot remember that the Dmax is also the smaller ofhte 3 types of trucks tested, thus the trailer was set for a Dmax, that is real low which in fact cause the Ferd & Dodge to sit up higher in the front. I'm not saying this would cause any loss of power or cause any problems during the pulls but it might.

this pull off will be here this year again and maybe we can have a few of the modded come and take the show away from us underpower, duramaxes, jim can be onesided on his rightups, but their is nothing he can say when it out pulls the max with others watching

I never said the Dmax (or the Ford for that matter) couldn't pull. Those 'Maxes can haul Edit for sure. Now let me know how much they can haul in 200K :D

Looks like a fun time.

They have been doing these pull offs in Colorado for quite some time. Kenedy started if a few years back. He is out of Colorado. It started out just testing their mod'ed Duramax trucks. They do not try to say which truck is better. They post on thier site to come a long and if you have a freind bring them too. It is a bunch of forum guys having fun.
