Camper wiring question

I have a pop-up camper and the previous owner cut what was a 6-pin flat (3 on top and 3 on the bottom) to a 4-pin. I figured out what one of the wires that was cut is but can't figure out what the other one is for. It runs all the way to the back of the camper and goes into the wall with the rest of the taillight wires. Where it goes from there I don't know. I took the covers off of the lights and and found all the wires except that one. I have no idea were it goes. Just wondering if any one else has any ideas.

Could be a wire for back-up light option. Is the pop-up equipped with back up lights?

The difference between a 4 pin and 7 pin connector are the following wires:

1. Trailer brakes

2. Battery charge (+12VDC)

3. Back-up lights

If your pop-up has surge brakes, that eliminates #1.

Thats what I thought the possibility could be, but there are no back up lights.

I am pretty sure that I don't have trailer brakes. What are surge brakes? I know what the difference in the wires are and that is why I can't figure out what this one is for. The camper also had the 12VDC cut on it but I figured that one out.
