Which brand trailer tire

I am pulling a 11 k pound 5th wheel. We had a blowout on our Carlile tire and did not now it was flat. Some one drove up beside us and told me. It was a 225 75 15 6 ply rated 2540. Which brand of tire should I buy? Has anyone went to an 8 or 10 ply and has anyone went to a Maxxis brand in an 8 or 10 ply. Please reply to this as we have to buy tires this week. Thanks for all your information.

Anything "E" rated would be decent, Carlisle is know for blowouts according to just about everyone that has run them over on the RV forum.

I was just messing with you.

Anyway, back on topic. I don't hear a lot of good things about Carlisle, in fact I had 1 blow out on our 6x12 enclosed trailer (less than 5000 miles). The big thing seems to be heat for trailer tires.

Which band triler tire

Brand of trailer tire

I have 'General-AMERI*550 TR' ON MY BULL TRAILER.
THE trailer is a 33' solid steel double floor and I put 159 (100pound) bales of hay at a time (two axle) and never had a problem

and when its loaded - IT'S A LOAD !

like was said earlier...THE MORE PLYS THE BETTER
