I have a 2006, 2500 4x4 diesel,I was wondering if there is a write up on how to wire a brake controller for this truck?

If you do a Google search or check with your brand web site they have good instructions on how to install them.

I agree with the above, but are you sure your truck wasn't pre-wired for it? Mine's a 2006 and it was plug and play.

look by the emergency brake, there is a connector plug there look on the left side of it for a white plug with 5 or 6 inline pins if it is there you are good to go

If your truck came with the tow package, it should pretty much be plug it in.

If your truck didn't have the tow package, you may be better off buying a predone package to add the wiring. If I recall correctly trucks w/o tow package have the connector under the dash, but not the wiring to the back or the back socket?
