I'm surprised the hitch didn't tear off the frame..

It wasn't too bad really. It could have been worse.

Yeah i don't know why they build something like this and make it a bumper pull. It should be a gooseneck. Turning it in tight spot was a pain.

60ft bumper pull.[yuk]

If the trailer wasn't for you, I hope your friend bought lots of beer.

Moving? Hopefully to a better location.

jesussaves 09-10-2008 12:27 PM

what type of hitch was that? type 3,4,5?

oilfield-trash 09-10-2008 01:17 PM

Moved one like that with a 1985 3/4 ton gasser. Bet the Cummins didnt even feel it back there.

Is the frame bending? It looks like the bed is not in line with the body. The gap at the top of the bed is wider than at the bottom. That's a serious pull though!

Why back in the 1960s we used to deliver mobile homes like that across Canada with 350 Ford one ton trucks with short frames. They had 292 or 312 gas engines and four speeds in them. Then we moved up to 600 Fords but they still only had 330 or 360 cu in engines in them and 5 speeds with two speed rear ends. We delivered them hundreds of miles and thought nothing of it but now I wouldent haul one of them for all the tea in China. Too big......

Seriously, I see the same thing. That sucker is squatting good, thats for sure.

Anyways, who the heck wants to move a mobile home to begin with? It'd be easier and cheaper to set it on fire and move into a different one.
