Anybody with a Heartland RV?
Hey people,I was looking at the Heartland RV Big Country 3490 BHS, And I would like some unbiased opinions from you.I know most all RV's are junk, but does anyone own one of these or know someone who does? I'm in my Sandpiper 315 BHTS And I gotta get out,its junk, maybe a lemon, but junk. The big selling point from Forest River, for me is their floor plans, and now I found one I like in the 3490,but I'm not going into it blind like I did with the Sandpiper. The heartland web site was very informative, but nothing like real world experiance.TIA Joe!

My first thought is the size and weight of this 5th wheel. It is almost 37' long and will be very heavy when loaded. I know people who bought something this big and decided very quickly it was too big to be handled comfortably.
I consider my comfort zone to be a maximum length of about 33' and a absolute maximum of 14000 lbs. loaded.
Consider this carefully before you buy a 5th wheel this big.

I looked at the heartland but bought a Newmar Cypress instead. 12" frame, HD tires, electric slides, and real quality finish. I got the 35' but they make several sizes. Overall a good quality Rv. Size or length is not much of a factor towing but can be a problem parking and finding Parks, so far I haven't had any problems.
