Re:AIRSTREAM OWNERS

I have had two, a 31 ft.1971 was bought used, and a 34 Ft, Limited 1994 was bought new. I liked them both. I just sold the later, because we do not have time to travel any longer.

They tow very well and they are well constructed.

The only problem with them is the plastic coat finish. It tends to flake off over time and needs recoating - which is expensive if done properly and by the most experienced people. Some people actually take all of the plastic coat off and just polish it with canauba wax, and one company in Ca. actually paints them.

You do have to be careful with them, you can't rough house around them and fall into it because it will dent easily.

The 34 ft was great living space, but a bit big in some parks.

I sold mine on the Internet.

New 2002 25ft Safari 6 sleeper , love it, good quality, tows like a dream, only wish I had went with the Classic or Limited.
Of course that would have added Many $$$ to the price.
The International CCD is a way cool looking trailer You have to see the inside its kind of retro yet futuristic too.
After Touring the Airstream factory I am even more happy with the Airstream prouduct and i have no doubt should You get one You will be pleased. If i would be at all possible tour the factory You wont regret it.

Re:AIRSTREAM OWNERS

Off the top of my head , the International CCD 22 foot is about same maybe 2-3000 more than safari , and the classic is 8-10,000 . Go to Airstream.com and If you use the dealer finder some will list prices.

Re:AIRSTREAM OWNERS

Congratulations are in order. Ive only had mine a short while but love it , You wont regret the airstream purchase. And the bambi is really cool looking it is sized just right. allmost went with that instead of 25 footer. But the bug is catchy, now I wish i had a 34 foot slide out dinette LTD.

Re:AIRSTREAM OWNERS

hey,
that 34 footer with slide will cost you $70 k in so cal. i plan on keeping this bambi unless i sell my house and start full timing. if that is the case i will move up to the 22' international. the 19' is a bit small for 2 people but i think if the lady is a good lady they we could full time in a 22' and not kill each other.

david h

Didnt feel too
bad, I really did enjoy the camping I had this summer and fall
