4 pin trailer connector short?
4 pin trailer connector short?
well i was adding an 8 foot buggy light with a little light on top for work tonight and i have it mounted on the bed rail so its grounded out i ran the power wire with the buggy kit down to the bottom of the box and then i ran a wire that plugs into the brown wire on the 4 pin connector when i hooked it up to the buggy whip light it sparked showing i had power now i have no power to the brown wire on the 4 pin connector i figured it was just a fuse so i changed fuse 19 and 34 as they were both blown but the problem is still there what else could it be?
Did you check for power with a known good multimeter at the source? Electrics 101 says 90% of your auto electrical woes willbe a bad ground. Always test with a good multimeter and verify a good ground. Is the bed rail painted? That would not be considered a good ground.
