28' car hauler

I'm shopping for a cargo/car hauler. Considering the 28' model. Should I be concerned at all about it being too much trailer for my truck? Any special brake issues?

I plan on putting house furniture, gang boxes, tool boxes, standard garage equipment, ATV and honda S2000. I also plan on leaving this stuff inside the trailer for a few months...any thing I should be concerned about?

Haulmark or Wells cargo...either one better or preference?

thanks for any input.

I think to think about is the most brands have different models of that size trailer. One with more studs in the floor and there is the choice of 2 3500# axles or 2 5000# axles. With all you want to move, I would recommend the heavier axles.

Most 28' trailers I have seen are rated at 14,000 lb or heavier. Now, that's no problem for your truck to pull, but here in Va I would need a Class A CDL license to pull it legally. Anything over 10,000 lb requires a Class A CDL here. That's why I got a 9990 lb trailer. It has been up to 12,000 lb before with no problems..

Haulmarks are pretty expensive too. My Cargo Express trailer cost me about $1500.00 less that the comparable Haulmark. I bought it from a dealer too, not online....
