2008 Mega Cab What hitch are you using?

I have a Reese 15 K slider bought new in the fall of 2007 for a 2500HD Chevy Silverado 6L gas engine. We switch to a 2008 Dodge Mega Cab CTD 4x4 6 spd auto. I am wondering if I can re-use this hitch and just buy new rails for the hitch to mount to. Does anybody know if this is possible? I hope I do not need a new hitch my DW would be very very upset she claims I have spent too much all ready with all of the up grades. Steps, bed liner, mud flap, clod front cover, bed rail covers and cover for the bed when not pulling.

New rails and the correct install kit and you are good to go.

also you might check into getting the round tube slider for that hitch it gives you two inches more clearance when in tow mode and four more inches when in manuever mode.

Yep, all you need is new rails to fit the MegaCab and your old slider will work. My question is why? If your trailer will hit when turning (which it more than likely will) why not just go get the correct hitch? With a 6' bed you'll be in and out of that truck at every tight turn. It only takes one time if you hit.......................to pay for the best.

The next problem you mite have is bed clearance. Let's hope not.
