2006 Brake Controller plug?
2006 Brake Controller plug?
I just picked up my new 2006 2500 last night. This morning I was going to plug in the trailer brake controller but I can’t find the blue connector under the dash. I looked and looked till I got a kink in my neck.
Came with the trailer tow package and had the adapter in the glove box. The truck does have the seven plug wired up in the back.
Anyone know where the darn thing is hidden under the dash?

On mine it was really hard to find it was clipped behind some other wires and boxes I believe mine was close to the outside of the truck (drivers side), and pretty far up towards the front of the truck/hood. I looked for a good 30 miutes to an hour before I found it.
I did find a blue connector that is not hooked to anything that has 4 wires to it. The plug is about half the size of the plug that was in the glove box to use.
I plan on calling the dealer as soon as they are open next week.

On my 06 it is just to the left of the main harness on the drivers side under the dash. Look under the park brake. Easy to get to and obvious to see. Yours must be different for some reason.
From the many that I have done. (I install brake controllers all the time at the RV shop I work for). Some of them are easy to see, others are hidden up behind the big bundle of wires going into the box where they use to be mounted on the 97-02 trucks. Its there just look and even sometimes you have to just feel up there and you'll find it.
