Has anyone been able to find factory towing mirrors for their 2002 (2500 or 3500) Ram. My dealer says it doesn't list them for the 2002 model year.

Also, are the factory towing mirrors a better bet than ****'s extendable towing mirrors?

On the other hand, is anyone satisfied with just running their stock 6x9 mirrors when towing? $400 plus is somewhat pricey.

I had factory tow mirrors from a 2000 put on my '02. Then I cracked the drivers side and replaced them with the **** extendables. I like having my power/heat feature again! A couple of 3" blind spot mirrors stuck on them and they are great for towing!

I don’t know what the price is now, but when I put them on my truck in 2002 the complete set only ran 245.00 from a dodge dealer. Maybe your dealer is trying to sell you individual driver side and passenger side. The price would a lot higher that way. Call a few more dealers and explain to them want you need some will understand and some will not

Does Dodge have heated & electric version for the 2002 2500 available?? I would like to keep these features.

 

No, Dodge does not have heated/power mirrors for the 2002. You can however buy a set of 2003 Heated Power Tow Mirrors and a set of 2002 tow mirrors then combine them to make heated power mirrors that will fit the 2002 body.

Ouch, that would be close to $600 for power & electric OEM tow mirrors. I'd really like to go this route but I really don't know if I can justify the $$.

How do you like just having the manual, non-electric dodge tow mirrors?

 

Check eBay. There's usually towing mirrors available for al yrs.

I did the same thing Grampaw did except I got the **** electric and heated from Stylinconcepts. I think they were 349.00. I really like them, you can see a whole new world back there with those things, dual arms and extend almost 5 inches.

 

I hear everyone saying how simple installing replacement tow mirrors it is, but do you have to remove the whole door panel to replace the the OEM mirrors with the replacement OEM tow mirrors?

I've always hated pulling door panels. Seems like the clips always get boogered up and the panels never fit as tightly afterward.

 

You only need to pull the top front corner out enough to get to the bolts. You end up pulling out about three trim clips, but the mirrors come with replacement clips.

 

I think I've talked myself into installing the OEM DC tow mirrors on my 2002. All the other tow mirror options just don't quite look right to me.

Hope I don't wind up "cryin' the blues" by dropping the auto & elec features. I don't expect I will ... I'm the only one who really drives it, so I can get my wife to assist when it comes to having to adjust the passenger mirror when I need to flip it out for towing.
