Well it's good you found another head. I've seen some Cats that were cracked in the head around that same place, between the valves. I don't know what I'd do without my truck. Good luck getting it whipped back into shape!!
This jus keeps gettin better. Finally got my truck in the shop last night and got the head off today. Had a good bit off carbon build up. Cleaned the block and moved on to the head. Got the area around number one valves cleaned and noticed a small place between the valves. I looked at it and then got a friend of mine to look at it. It was cracked. Luckly coope3 had one at his house so we road up and picked it up. Hopefully can get this thing back together and runnin tomorrow. It sucks not havin your truck. LOL Thanks for the head Matt!
".....without my truck....." You'd do the same thing without it, sit around and wonder when you'd ever get more work!!!!LOL We're getting slow again, we picked up last week and dropped off againgthis week!!! This sucks...
Hey guys. I've been pretty busy so I hadn't made it on in a while. I was bummed to see the date of the dyno since I have something I have to be at that day. I sold my 4 door project and my 2wd cummins. Only one left in the drive, man it looks weird! Trying to find the time to sound proof, 7mm head, twin, exhaust, lift, and hitch my rhino monster... I gotta get it done by the end of april, anyone that is slow want to come help?

Good to see you around again Mark! Hows the family? It's a sign of the times, my place could be compared to a flea market right now!! Just about everything has a price on it, except my mustang and Grandpas Cub Cadet...oh and tools of the trade which I need.
Hey Robert! Slow again....you oughta be used to it by now!! I'm afraid to get used to it! Trying to piece some garbage together to make fence along the gate at the bottom of my drive, actually trying to use that damaged fence off that one job you gave me!!
Just a short 6-8 foot span. Been hearing about trailer thefts and figure I need to make a gate that actually locks before mine becomes a statistic.
I got three calls this week, one was for a 68 Mustang to put in floor pans, "is your money green?" then I'm your man at this point! Got a call about the boat, that was a big boat!! A sailboat no less!! Had the big thing under the boat.....ok, I'm a Marine not a SAILOR! He said sometime around the beginning of March. The third was a set of stairs up in Nashville that are in desperate need of repair, had to bid that one but the guy said that he'd most likely go with me because I talked well, knew what I was talking about and looked professional. He said the other two guys that showed up pulled up in some rough looking beaters like they just drove off the scrap yard. He told me he looked around and wondered where the heck their welders were at? He told me, "what are they gonna do, steal a welder to do the job?". The last two jobs I was contacted because I had INSURANCE!! Yippe, that $2800 will pay off!! The last guy said he had a ton of emails about the job and his first question was, "do you have insurance? No, then goodbye".
So my free advertising is working, just need to turn some of those calls into paychecks. All small one day jobs though so not a whole lot of work....be back to sittin at the house bored in no time

Well, thought I'd post something in here so the mods would still think there is some form of life in this section......
hopefully all is well with everyone.
hopefully all is well with everyone.
I guess it's about time I chime in again... I am even closer to the twins.... I've got the truck in the garage replacing the evap coil and heater core. I will also do the sound proofing while I've got it apart. fun fun fun, man it goes a LOT slower with kids
