TRUCK OF THE MONTH
TRUCK OF THE MONTH
Administraters,

I don't have the $$$ to fix up an exceptional looking truck - mines just the "plain jane" Silver Ghost - that would make it into the Truck of the Month. However, I very much enjoy looking at the pics (dream, dream) of the TOM: Dodge Rams.

I think it would be a disservice to the Ram owners to have other than Dodge in this TOM :'( . But, I also think it is a disservice to Ford & GM owners not to have their trucks in a Truck of the Month picture in a forum of all three categories. Therefore, I would suggest a TOM in each of the catagories 8) . I would very much enjoy looking at all three of them.

Maybe this suggestion is also just a "sheesh" but one never knows if they don't ask.

Re:TRUCK OF THE MONTH
The Truck of the Month Committee has discussed this with the Admins already, I dont recall what they came up with or even if they've reached a decision yet.
Although, I think this should be our next TOM:
If it's a nice truck, it's a nice truck. It might not have a CTD in it, but that's the owner's problem ;D The way it sounds to me is that most of the complainers want a separate but equal status to be granted to Fords and GMs. That kind of defeats the purpose of Jack's efforts.

NOT The title of this thread is "Suggestions, Comments and Site Questions". Now I may be young and dumb, I'm only 64 and only have one college degree, but I've never heard of a suggestion being a complaint.
I really thought suggestions are what was wanted here. Please help me out and explain how a suggestion is a complaint!
;D

"...want a separate but equal status to be granted to Fords and GMs."
Now let me see...hmmmm. There is a Dodge portion that is separate from Ford & GM. There is a Ford portion that is separate from GM & Dodge. There is a GM portion that is separate from Dodge and Ford. In each of those sites is a thread about High Performance - After Market Accessories - they are separate but equal. Each of those three sites has separate threads for each generation of their diesel engines. They are all separate from each other but treated equally. Wonder where I went wrong in thinking that they could all be treated separately but equally as far as Truck of the Month was concerned... ???

"That kind of defeats the purpose of Jack's efforts."
A totally baffling statement to this young ignoramous. There is no one on this forum who is more for and behind Jack than I am...no one. If I did have a complaint, I would PM Jack or an administrator or a moderator, depending on who or what the complaint was about. Several times, on several threads, I've mentioned how much I appreciate this forum and those who are financing, donating money and donating their time to keep it going. I think it is a fantastic site. I am 100% behind the admin. in keeping it a clean site. There are some things I disagree with Jack about. They are not serious enough to even mention them to him, PM or other wise.

There is a thread here for suggestions. If I have what I believe to be a good suggestion I'll give it. If it is turned down, so what. I'll not get mad or get even. (And if you want to accuse me of being a complainer be ready to explain how it's a complaint - or keep shut!) It's Jacks site and he has no obligation to accept any of my thoughts or suggestions. He has enough insight and foresight to have one of, if not THE best, diesel site on the 'net. If he doesn't feel my suggestion is worthy, that's his perogative, even if it is to his detriment.

Stan

Re:TRUCK OF THE MONTH
With the changes to this fine site you can liken it to a pretzel. Each hole is a brand of truck, seperate from the next hole, yet the whole is bound together by one thread, or piece of dough. Hey, there's as idea for the logo. A pretzel, with a different brand in each hole
