Is there anything not considered political in this forum anymore?
I asked a simple question about if the new 35 MPG standard would kill trucks and the thread was shut down as political. I didn't see anything political and I certainly didn't intend it to be political.
Is there anything we can discuss that won't be shut down as political? The question was certainly not far off the topic of this entire forum.
For the record, the 35 MPG standard applies to light duty trucks such as SUV and 1/2 ton pickups. Not sure about 3/4 and 1 ton pickups.

I suppose I should have left that off, but I only mentioned as a fact and meant nothing political by it. I wrote to all of my senators and representatives regardless of political affiliation and regardless if they supported the mileage standard or not. (I never checked who was for/against it.)
Judging by the other 1.6 million posts still on the forum, I would think that there are a few things that aren't considered political.
Your post sure sounded political to me. Therefore it was closed. If you want to ask political questions, then it's simple. Ask it on the other site, period.

Long as you dont take getting shut down personally. Well, actually the last time I got shut down I didnt understand it (because I was right, dang it
) but I do understand how difficult it is to keep something like DTR running smoothly so I have to defer to the guys running it.
