Just a suggestion....

This may or may not have been mentioned before, but would it be possible to have a seperate 12 valve, and 24 valve performance, and accessories forums? It gets kinda aggrovating sorting through all the stuff about boxes, and programmers for 24 valves, when i have a 12 valve and dont need to hear about that stuff along with hot rod injection pumps and stuff. I realize there are some similarities, but for the most part we are dealing with a lot of different performance parts 12v vs 24v, and it would be nice to have seperate forums. Or maybe even have a 12 valve(89-98) performance section and let the 24 valve guys have one to themselves? There really is nothing wrong with how it is set up, but I just figured since this is the Suggestions, Comments and Site Questions forum that I would give my opinion on the matter.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but I do see your point. Thing is, there will eventually be less and less of the 1st Gen trucks to worry about. Being resistant to change as this site and most of it's member are (myfelf included) I don't see you getting much support on the topic.

I see what you are saying about the different sections for the 12 valve and the 24 valve. right now they both fall under Performance and Accessories 2nd Gen Only.

He is saying there should be a performance section for 12 valves, and a performance section for 24 valves.

Just like there is a section for 12 valve Engine and DriveTrain, and a section for 24 Valve Engine and Drivetrain.

I vote that there should be, if in fact he is talking about the same thing I just stated.

If you do a search on this, you will see why we don't do that, this topic has been covered before.

Sorry guys, I miss-read the original post.
I removed my comment and edited one comment due to my miss-understanding.

In a nut shell the same accessories fit all 2nd gen trucks whether they have a 12 valve engine or not. The only real difference is the manual IP and lift pump of a 12 valve vs the electronic controlled ones in the 24 valve engines.

That hardly warrants the additional space another forum would take up here. We dont like having a bunch of additional forums to have to go digging through to get info for the same vehicles.

I know some other places have many many forums like that, but we want to keep DTR lean and mean in regards to ease of finding information. If you use the search function, you have far less to search through becasue of this.

Thats exactly what I meant. Sorry if I wasnt so clear on that in the first place. Apparently its not gonna be done, but I just figured I would suggest it since I think it would be nice. Thanks anyway though
