Why should they have to post? The site has a ton of good info, and some may just log in to get it.

They can read here as long as they wish. MANY people only "lurk" behind the scenes and will never post.

I belong to many different forums that I do not post on, I do get a lot of good info that way though and nobody say's you have to post anywhere!

Your point? Many of them log in and don't post at all, but gain from the technical information provided. I see nothing wrong with that. That is the whole purpose of the site in the first place.

You don't have to have written a book to go to the library...

Hey, that's a good way to look at it.

Wink Glad to be reading

I've picked up a lot from just reading the forums here. Gives me something to do until my truck gets in from Mexico.

Yea but you don't need to register here to "go to the library". Anyone can go!

It doesn't matter to me one way or the other but it is interesting.

You do need to register to do a search. There are several sites that I registered at just to be able to do a search to solve a problem that I had and I haven't ever posted and in many cases, rarely lurk. One Ford site I registered at to search for a solution to a problem with a friends truck and haven't been back to that site since. I'm sure that I'm still registered there. Probably many or most if those with 0 posts are similar - came here, searched, got what they needed, and may come back next time that they have a problem.

This is not directed at you!

Ironic thing is many members that have posted would be better to not post at all...
