2 hours of freezing rain and 6 inches of snow

Last evening it was -4 and we had 2 hours of freezing rain and now 6 inches of snow. The truck looks like a big red ice cube. Roads are brutal, traffic is worse. The honda CRv was sitting in the garage and is amazing in the snow. Travel not recommended on many roads in the area. Stay safe out there...

Ran into Saskatoon today because of previously scheduled appointments. Highway 11 was okay. The streets in Stoon a different story. Just the right temperature where the snow packs hard and gets a film of water on top. Did not see any accidents. Everyone was driving slow!

Not to bad zipping around Calgary today in the company ride----yesterday's "fog" was a mother to see on the outskirts of town, zero visibility in some cases+icy roads but just drove real slow.I'm about 2 months(11,000KM) into a "NEW" company 3 ton ISUZU NPR-HD---(LOADED GM 6.0 litre/double overdrive auto, tilt cab truck),takes a bit of getting used to sitting in front of the forward wheels, but it turns on a dime/visibility from the cab is the 100% better than a regular cab.The best thing for the fog is after 22 years with the company(1,400000KM+ of logged city driving)is the heated mirrors----used to have to scrap after every call, now push the button[duhhh](simple things make a happy employee).Stay safe out there.DW
