I think the Toyo would be the better overall tire. The Nittos look better, granted, but I am not very happy with the overall performance of mine. had a flat @ 6,000 miles (no sign of how it happened), and the back tires are wearing quicker than the front noticeably. They do ride very smooth though and hook up good for me.
I'd stick with the Toyo E rated tire versus the Nitto D rated tire. Yes, the load range is enough, but I just think the D rated tires will be a little more likely to have a flat or blow out.
I think most of us around here are under the impression that Nitto is made by Toyo-- hence the commonality of their lineup.
I'd buy any Toyo over any Nitto in general...

I have those Nittos and my brother has those Toyo's on his 02. I'm happy with my Nittos; they ride smooth and have good traction on and off road. They also came at a nice price ($145 a piece). That being said, I still think the Toyo is the better tire. These Nitto's are wearing pretty fast and I expect to get about 30k out of 'em.
I thought they were basically the same tire company. the are very similar. ive had a couple sets of toyos and i like them alot. Im running the proxes right now that are only D load range are they arent wearing much at all. I dont exactly run my truck easy either. I think either tire would be a good choice. I bought a set of nittos off here and we put them on my buddies truck on the stock wheels and they really sharp on his 01
I have heard the Nittos wear faster but I have no personal experiense with either... but as for your question above - Budwieser and Natural Light are made by the same company - but I would much rather be drinking a Bud.....
Ouch man be nice theres nothing wrong with Natty Light.
Hmmm, my back tires are wearing down quicker than the fronts also. Craziest thing i've ever seen.....
