Seems that it's not safe in the kitchen now. A condition known as "popcorn lung" is making it's way from the shadows. All of you folks (like me) who like the butter flavor microwave popcorn.........beware!

You dont need to buy microwave popcorn all you have to do is use a brown paper bag and put fold the top twice and put 2 1/2" staples 2 inches apart. I didn't think it would work but it does. If you want butter just use clarified butter which is butter cooked till all the water is removed. Try it once and youll never buy the other stuff again.
Guess it takes a few years to truely know what the chemicals we use nowadays can do to us sometimes..
I still like my old fashioned popper. It's a pot with a split lid and a crank that turns a paddle to stir the corn. I use a little bit of olive oil in the bottom of the pot and pop it on the stove then dump it in a bowl and sprinkle parmesan cheese and a little bit of salt on it. Yummmmmmmmmmm

I have a popcorn machine like they use at the theater, only smaller. It's actually better than the stuff they make. I buy the popcorn in boxes of 30 packs and each pack has popcorn, butter oil, and salt all together. I haven't had microwave popcorn in years........

I believe if you cook the popcorn with a cigarette in your mouth it will filter the fumes out.
