Welcome to DTR High Tech Turbo. Good to have you with us.
Rich. |
I'll have to play the part of the official DTR Welcome Wagon.
They're just down the street from me (well, a couple of turns, then a couple blocks, but I bet I could walk there if I had to, like, say, my turbo imploded and I needed a new one) I'll drop off a basket of muffins next time I'm out. phox |
Glad to have a turbo-vendor onboard. Welcome and I'll hopefully be doing business with you soon.

Cool guys - so this made me ask-
How do I know if/when to upgrade my HX35W housing from 12CM^3 to 14CM^3??? Will I gain anything? What about waste gated vs non? Non is a lot cheaper but then I need to stop the turbo from boosting too high by getting off the fuel huh? |
Psst, Lary, I fixed your typo, it's High Tech, not Hight Tech,
didn't notice it for two days though [eyecrazy] ;) phox __________________________________________________ That blasted Jose Quervo causes my keyboard to act up like that :p Thanks Jerry ;) Lary |

When you have uncontrollable EGT at high RPM, it's time to go to a bigger housing (or a bigger turbo). Also, if you tow a lot a larger housing will help the fuel mileage. Will you gain anything? A few HP on the top end, and the ability to hold the pedal down longer without getting paranoid about the pyro reading. |

Thanks for the warm welcome. I enjoyed meeting many of you at May Madness; as a matter of fact, conversations with you there, is the reason we decided to advertise here. Best of luck and I would love to help if I can. Everett Taylor

Hello
I sent a crappy looking nasty turbo off of a 1999 2500 Dodge for a inspection and replacement of bearing and seals. The turbo I recieved back looked brand new. I called out to their shop and talked to Paul he remembered the turbo because he did not find anything wrong with it. I asked him to replace the bearings and seals anyway because my son would be driving the truck back and forth to collage and I wanted something dependable. I drove the truck the first 100 miles with the reworked turbo and drove it easy to get everything broke in. I turned the truck over to him now and told him to drive it easy for the next couple of hunderd miles. The truck is "BONE" stock but it still seems to run very good. He has plans of making it run as good as my "strong running stock" truck and his Mommies "Strong running stock" truck. I strongly recommend these folks if you are looking for good work See Ya Chris |
