I got round to checking into why my charging voltage went over 16 volts on my truck. I checked the connections of the relay I put on there trying to fix this issue before. Everything checked out so I dug out the old VR I had taken off last time and swapped it for the nearly new BWD Select Chinese made VR from O'Reilly's and now the voltage stays at 14.4 volts.
Yet more proof that some Chinese stuff is junk.

Been awhile since I've been on here.. Been busy with school and haven't had the time.
I took the topper off the truck and installed an extang tonneau cover that works with my toolbox. I've had it on the truck for a few weeks now and absolutely love it.
I also installed a cheap pair of 4" light bars on the rear bumper to serve as reverse lights and all I can say is "wow". This may be the best thing I've done to the truck so far. It is so bright at night when I am in reverse, it almost looks like day time.
AN interesting story from this weekend...
A local guy had a 1991 non-i/c SC, DRW auto on CL for $13,500. It was a 4wd, with only 90k on it. Still, the price was a bit ridiculous. I ran into the guy showing it to a potential buyer (about 60 yrs. old) in a parking lot off the interstate. Being the first gen lover that I am, I had to go look. He had the hood up with the engine running, and I couldn't help but notice the diesel fuel pouring out of injectors 4, 5, and 6, as well as the dripping PS pump and valve cover gaskets. It also wasn't a true DRW, as the fenders were bolts to the bed, and spacers were used on the original axle. The guy buying it had no clue. He agreed to go to the bank and meet with the seller later. Once the truck left, I made sure to let the guy know what I saw, as he had no idea and didn't even notice it. Bummer to see a young guy trying to screw an older guy that's never owned a diesel.
I also managed to find a driver side bucket seat and center console for the truck this weekend. The truck that it came out of had been stolen before, and the passenger seat was ruined. So, does anyone near Colorado have a gray passenger side bucket seat? The junkyards haven't turned anything up yet.

I like those Corbeau seats. I’ve been trying to find something, sans headrest. I occasionally wear a cowboy hat and headrests have a knack for knocking them off. Hoping to find a seat display somewhere and try sitting in some different brands/styles before I pull the trigger on these:

Last night I put the camper shell back on my truck. Some hate it; some love it. I kind of like it, and it is fairly easy to take off anyhow. I resealed the part that rests on the bed rail as the old stuff was beyond done. I just used some door weather stripping that I had laying around that my dad had bought before realizing it was the wrong stuff. I figure that should be good enough for the shell if it will seal a door to a house. I need to go get some more silicone to put a new bead around the windows on it as they leak sometimes when it rains hard. Anything I found from old projects had hardened up. I found one tube that had a little in it that wasn’t dried and used that on the spot that I remembered leaking the worst.

Got the brick ready to plow for tomorrow. Moved all the trucks around and took the,box out to pick up a door for the powder coating co. Stopped at Dunkin Dognuts and got my kid a donut. He's a little short, but still tries to drive whenever I take him out. No way can I ever go anywhere with him without a donut coming about
