8x6.5 to 8x170 spacers?

Hey everyone, throwing this out there before making a big purchase. I have a 91 w250 4x4 and there are a pair of rims and tires I'm looking at picking up for a steal. Only problem is the lug pattern on the rims is 8x170 (99 f250) and they are hub centric while our trucks are lug centric and 8x6.5. I have found a company which produces spacers/adapters that would let me use the rims. My question is, will this work with lug centric spacers or will I have to get a hubcentric spacer? Or a lug centric spacer and a hubcentric insert?
Thanks- Steven

Our trucks use cone shaped lugnuts, so we are lug-centric. I wasn't comfortable using spacers on my cummins truck until after upgrading to 9/16" (Chevy) wheel studs.

Calculate the total backspacing with the adapter before you commit to wheels. My 2" spacer with 6" backspace 3rdgen wheels worked out nice... but I couldn't run the spacer with my 'standard' aftermarket 16x8 D-window wheels. Steering arc became huge and tires were hitting the fenders.

EDIT: Factory Superduty wheels are hub-centric (flanged nuts), but aftermarket ones can be either. Depends what lugnut the wheel demands.

That's the back side of the rim. There is an indent where the holes are but I can't imagine a flat spacer causing a problem. But then again, I've been wrong before.
