Since when is 1976 Vintage????

My door bell is apparently broken. A couple of weeks ago a neighbor who had stopped by reported me to the troopers because he assumed I was dead (i think he wants my snowblower).
A young Trooper who I don’t know got my attention by throwing snowballs and rocks at my windows.
I asked him if he would help me battle shrews but he didn’t have the time.
He did offer to help test my door bell and we discovered that there is about 19 volts AC at the outside button.
Under the cover of the four gong door bell chime mechanism is labeled SYNCHRON mfg 1976.
The polite Trooper said he was born in 1986 and that maybe it was time to get a new door bell.
When I try and find repair instructions for it all I get is Vintage Door Bells!!!

1976 aint that old. I had just gotten out of High School a few years before that and my plow truck is the same age, runs just fine and isn’t vintage.

Do doorbells age at a different rate than humans? Are Shrews really going to rule the world instead of cockroaches?

Is Up Down, Left Right, Right Wrong, what the heck is going on!!!!

Why won’t my door bell ring.

As you might be able to tell, I have gotten done shoveling and plowing for the night and have nothing better to do than listen to the ringing in my ears (muffler has fallen off the plow truck).

Morning.

Got a scare this morning. Fed dog, he snorted a piece of food, then his nose starts bleeding. The blood never happened before. Called the vet and they don't seem concerned. So.....I guess I'm not until he gets lethargic, throwing up or diarrhea. Great. And if you have those symptoms today don't come too close. I'll take you to the vet.

Sounds like Bob is gonna go to the vet if I get ahold of him

Bark, we'll just call your door bell old. Less letters to put together than vintage. We replaced our not long ago because our pizzas never showed up. We called and they said they went to the house but no one was home. Turns out, they rang the door bell that didn't work. Sure wish they would have considered knocking.

Do you mean to say he sucked it up thru his nose? I've never heard of that, even from a lab! Hope he's ok.

Not actually through his nose. Snorted is the only thing I can think of. What happens is he eats fast and it seems like a piece of food ends up going in the sinus somewhere in the back of the throat as he breathes and chows down. Inhales, literally.

I don't know dog sinuses but do they have a drainage point n the back of he throat like humans? That's the only thing I can think of is the access point for the food.

When your dog starts snorting kibbles it is time to do a drug intervention

I think they DO have a similar anatomy when it comes to the sinus drain point, yes.

One thing you can do to slow them down when they eat is to put a couple of large rocks in their food bowl with their food. Large enough at least so that they cannot swallow them if they get them in their mouth. The rocks make them have to pick around to get the kibble and tends to at least slow them down a little.
