I wrote my own tune with the MCC back when I was still driving my 2010. But, if I remember the stock tunes, I raised everything, and adjusted shift firmness to the max. I like hard shifting.

However, until you get to a 6.7L and a 6 speed auto, the NV4500 and NV5600 always wins for ONLY towing.

If you don't have a blown headgasket, or a low coolant problem, then most likely, it's going to be a dealer problem on the electronic...

Last time that happened on my 2010 it was a blown head gasket. I think my 2007.5 6.7 is doing it now too.

Here's something we did when we had a programming problem on some new Common Rail engines back in 2006-2007. They would root the oil up WAY too fast, and would cause valve bridge and rocker arm wear...

Then your guess is as good as mine. These things are time bombs for head gaskets I guess. Before the gasket let go, I never saw over 220* in the first 70K miles.

I'd still go with 3.73's.....of course I have 3.42's, and I'm still always looking for a taller gear on the highway. I need an 18 speed...
