My advice for what it's worth: I'd drive it until 2019, sell it and get another one that will meet the emissions. There will be plenty of out-of-area (emissions free) buyers willing to take it off...

The new exhaust may or may not have "bungs" to attach the lines.
And I really doubt you're going to get much better MPGS without a full delete. Need to delete the DPF, EGR and stop the regens.

I don't have 4.10s but I've noticed a big difference in driving empty with and without the exhaust brake. I get 2-3 mpgs better with it off. Must be a little draggy or something. I only turn it on...

Hope you find a good one. Most have been run hard into the ground- that's what they were designed for. Great trucks, but if you live in the rust belt watch out for the 2005s. Also note the back...

DEF is used in the 2013 and newer pickups. It's nothing to be afraid of, actually turned out to be a good thing vs. the 2012s and older 6.7s*. DEF trucks get better MPGs and really sip the stuff...

Shell build-out

I thought I'd put this here in case anyone is interested on how I built out my shell for camping. I wanted something relatively lightweight and easy to remove.

I came up with a design that is...

Congrats on the new truck! Yeah, those factory tires are provided by the lowest bidder. I think Ram assumes you're going to replace them with a sweet aftermarket tire+wheel package.

That said, the 2013+ DEF CTDs don't have nearly the emissions trouble and mpgs issues that the stock 2012 and earlier 6.7s did. ...
