Some questions about the Democrats

For many years I have read news about your American politics and much of it makes no sense to me. Lately I see Democrats attacking your president and looking for crimes that nobody can prove. In short, from the point of an outsider I have yet to see anything positive about the Democratic party. Can someone please spell it out in simple, non political English just what good the Democrats have done for America in the past and especially recently. Why would anyone vote for a Democrat? From where I am sitting, all I can see is that the Democrats are out to destroy the traditional American way. Would someone like to show me, in simple, non political English if I am wrong. Again, from where I am sitting, all appearances are that if a Democrat is elected as a president, that will be the end of America .... America the great, ....the American dream ... gone.

Why are there no investigations into the Clinton family, the Obamas, Eric Holden and many others that I could name?

I don't see the Democrat Party itself as trying to destroy America, rather that there are elements who identify themselves as "democrat" who certainly do want the present American way of life destroyed, only to be resurrected in a form they alone deem as "good"...To this I object...A multi-party political system is good for a nation as it prevents an autocratic rule from only one direction...I would much prefer another party rising in prominence to compete for votes alongside the present two...The last one of these of which I would have approved was the Progressive Party founded and typified by the former President Theodore Roosevelt...

Alas, anything calling itself "progressive" in modern times is socialistic, seeking power the same way the Marxists seized it in the Russia of the early 20th Century...They encourage the fawning media to embrace them as "progressive"...TR's Progressive Party championed individual initiative and fiscal responsibility combined with social obligation for human rights and stewardship of the Earth's resources...I would support such a party today if it took root...

But it is all politics today, and only about power and who can control it...Most of the candidates I vote for are either Republican or Libertarian, but the poor performance of elected officials in general prompts most of my votes to be against a candidate instead of for a candidate...Term limits are a good first step in the direction toward responsible government...In most cases I see, I recommend two terms - one in office and one in prison......Ben

Sorry, Stan,

The Banana Republic will be established if the current administration is thrown out due to "lazy voters", as whomever becomes the new Dem's president will surely have Trump put in prison for crimes he didn't commit.

This 2020 election is critical to the outcome of our lives here in what is the greatest country in the world. If George Soros and friends have their way, that will be the end of that.

The DEMS have done great things here:
  • promoting and encouraging lawlessness
  • defecation / human waste in the streets
  • plague
  • all the used heroin needles you could ever ask for all around you
  • endless investigations
  • free chit everywhere
  • you won't have to work anymore (if you don't feel like it)
  • very few people (ultra wealthy) morons in power, and everyone else subordinate slaves to the grind
  • No more cows
  • Trains to everywhere
  • wind powered televisions
  • passing legislation to increase their salaries on a "more than regular" basis.

And the list goes on and on.

The republicans are also culpable, but I guess the lesser of the two evils for those who think. They had all this debate in the palms of their hands back right after the election, and Paul (RINO) Ryan made sure that nothing was done to solve the problems of the country at the time. They'd rather wait it out, so they could easily put the blame back onto the dems.

Purge the swamp, and start over with god / punishment fearing, (term limited) new blood would be the way to go.

Stan, simple.

Leaders in power promise free stuff.

Unwashed, uneducated masses desire free stuff.

Same result when the mouse goes for the free cheese in the trap.

Don't think the Republicans are any better, that is why they are trying to get rid of Trump virtually as hard as the Democrats are.

Well said,thanks!
I'm coming onto 70 pretty soon and still wonder why legislators are paid to campaign? Do it on your vacation time but not on the voters dime.
From the president on down. They all do it.

That and so many other perks unavailable anywhere else...Some for a lifetime...I don't even begrudge them that, if they remember who hired them, and why......Ben

Thanks guys for the responses so far. The more I dig, the more I discover that politics is dirty business - in any country, although some countries are worse than others. Lots of stuff like this supports me;

I still believe that the Democrats per se are out to destroy America at the expense of more votes and total government control of the sheeple.

Edit: Is this an example of what America will become under the Democrats?;
