Which is it, Mr. Obama?

Is the ice melting, or do we need ice breakers?

China had five war ships off the coast of Alaska, sad part they didn't give Obama a 21 gun salute.

It's both.
THe ice is melting so much that we CAN break it in the winter and commercial shipping can use the northern passage year round but right now the US only has 2 functioning breakers with one of them has been breaking ice for just under 40 yrs and is falling apart.
Her sister ship is in limbo not commisioned but not gone because the high inteligent?? congress needs to determine if it is feasible to rehab it.

The only other breaker we have is the Healy and it can't do any real serious Arctic of Antarctic ice work.

Before you fire shots at the president be sure the gun isn't pointed at your own foot.

Oh, you mean like when wheat was growing in Greenland, and the Vikings explored the Northwest Territory.

I know, the Medieval warming period was a local event.......until you dig further as the folks at Syracuse University did studying ikaite composition in sediments.

The common refrain claims that the Medeival warming event was local and caused by Solar radiation aberration. On the face, that makes complete sense.......NOT.

There's a huge amount of special interest money riding on the whole carbon limitation scenario. That money enriches a very few on the backs of the poorest of the poor throughout the world. That, my friend, is downright evil.
