Amen! I loaded a big bucket full of M62 Tracer rounds for my BAR just in case I need to be able to walk them in at 6 or 700 yards

Honestly, you guys really want a civil war? I'm not too worried, after all you are all afraid of a caravan of poor women and children a thousand miles away. Seems pretty weak to me...Mark By the way, starting a civil war is treason, just something to chew on...

Mark, no offense to you Sir, but those "caravans" have some pretty nasty individuals in their crowds including members of the infamous MS-13 gangs along with some admitted "murderers" and God knows what else! This has been confirmed by Homeland Security and law enforcement. I still talk with my fellow Officers in Texas and many of them have told me their intelligence also confirms this. Also, you may not have seen it, but many of the members of those caravans have thrown "maltov cocktails", rocks and other weapons at the Mexican Police during their "trek" to the U.S. border! So yeah, I would say we need to be prepared for the worst. And one last thing, they are not longer "thousand of miles away" Mark! At last report the first group is around 600-700 miles away, so they are getting much closer.

Hi John. If it is all the same to you, I believe that we have about 1000 things more worrisome than that caravan. I am sure that those 4000 regular troops that are deployed along the border would much rather be home for the holidays or in some place where they can do some real good. I know 1 thing about most crooks and drug dealers as well as gang members, they are lazy by nature and are not likely to walk 1500 miles to the border. I am currently in Mexico and I can tell you with great confidence that the people here are not paying any attention to the Americanos locos. Life goes on and you can believe me when I say the the vast majority of these people are good people and would make great Americans. One other thing, most Mexicans down here believe in family values, God, working hard and taking care of their own problems, sounds like Republicans to me. Even if there are some "bad hombres" to quote the president, they pose virtually no threat, even if only the regular border people are there, no soldiers. I don't want to go too much into history, but we as a nation have screwed over Mexico, many times. The Mexican American war was a big land grab, the American oil companies that came down here and screwed them over in the 1930's, the soldiers today that serve in the armed forces and are then deported, the workers from Mexico that came up to pick the crops during WW2 and were then deported, I can go on and on. We do not have clean hands in this situation. I think that the problems that are real can be solved without villainizing the whole bunch. Take it easy buddy...Mark

Mark,

As a person, I think you are a nice guy, but I also, in the same breath, think that you're not seeing things as clearly as you should be allowing yourself to.

You say that this caravan is a group of simple, god fearing good people looking for a new, better life, making great americans they would.

Then why did they refuse asylum, jobs, shelter, and help from the Mexican government, when they, simply by their location are NO LONGER in any jeopardy ? Why refuse ? Why thumb your nose at the mexican government who's willing to provide you the assistance you're searching for, the safety you desire, the economic boost you crave ??

Because this is another political stunt by the leftist belief that America is better off being overtly liberal, keeping those on the left in their political high chairs, allowing them to stay in the abusive position of power they are accustomed to. Hell, why not bring in more democrat voters to keep us where we are ? Power is what its all about, my friend, and it's time to at least give that thought a chance to rumble around in the head of yours. (said with sincerity, and not a negative connotation)

You have an overwhelming guilt that haunts you from things that happened a hundred or more years ago, and you need to let that go. It's unhealthy to feel guilt from something that was done so long ago, by other people, whether right or wrong, and have it affect your current thinking, today, in such a completely different political, economic, and social climate. We don't live in 1930, the 1800's, or earlier, and it's time to come to grips with letting this guilt pass.

Since You primarily live in Mexico, you know the people around you, yes, but you're fooling yourself if you think the mexican people do not have pedophiles, drug dealers, murderers, wife beaters, etc. They exist everywhere, and the population of mexico is far from precluded from that statistic. As matter of fact, Latin america has some of the highest murder rates per capita than most of the rest of the world. I'm sure the large majority of these atrocities are from the socio-economic problems plaguing these areas.

https://bigthink.com/strange-maps/42...-latin-america

The problem is that you cannot, in good conscience know that all those people in that caravan, MOST of which are not even from Mexico, ALL good natured people you claim they are. By that oversimplified standard you've portrayed, if I follow your role, it would be irresponsible for me to say that All the people who live in Trenton, or Camden NJ are gang banging, murdering , drug peddling thieves that all should be put in jail, simply because they live in the most crime ridden cities in the state. Some of them are, but there are a significant number of good natured, honest people who still live in these crime ridden cities, caught between a rock and a hard place, simply because they cannot afford to leave there.

I think you're completely misguided regarding the "innocence" of the people traveling in the caravan. There have been interviews with people in that caravan that have surfaced here, where people traveling in that hoard are being sexually assaulted, robbed, beaten and abused, both by others in the caravan, and those intercepting it, such as the coyotes who are helping this movement along.

We..... as a nation .... must put a stop to this flagrant disregard to our nation's ability to protect our borders from all invaders, not just the sweet people of mexico, but the europeans, and all the other groups from all over the world who come here and tax our resources, while people born here, people who've fought for, people permanently injured fighting for (our former military), who actually need our help more than people from other countries looking take care of themselves.

If you dislike America that much, I suggest that maybe you consider relinquishing your status here, and make your southern home your permanent one, because this country is overrun with those who want to give everything away that we, tax paying, American born citizens work hard for every day. We can use the extra space here, as there are too many people as it is.

(and I mean that with all due respect)

T, I am not even going to go point by point with what you have said. I practice my right to travel where I want. I don't have to renounce my citizenship. Mexico is one of the poorest countries in the world, they can't even feed the people they have, it was very magnanimous of them to offer asylum to them. their government has screwed the people here for centuries. Go read what it says on the statue of liberty. With all do respect, you live 2000 miles from the border and don't really know anything that is actually true, about it.. If we would stop screwing them over and help their economy a bit, it would reduce the drive to come to the US. They are coming home in droves and net illegal immigration is down. I know that the term **** is thrown around, but do you know where the word (it is not a word in German it is an anagram) comes from? It stands for national socialist:
1930, noun and adjective, from German ****, abbreviation of German pronunciation of Nationalsozialist (based on earlier German sozi, popular abbreviation of "socialist"), from Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei "National Socialist German Workers' Party," led by Hitler from 1920. From here: https://www.etymonline.com/word/****

So, people do not want to be called *****, but are proud to be a "national socialist": It is exactly the same thing. People who refuse to study history are doomed to repeat it. Go back and look what happened in Germany starting in 1933 and ending in 1945. It looks and sounds very much like what is happening in the USA. I am frankly ashamed of this and am very glad that this president has a check on him and for the first time in his life he will have to answer for his transgressions. I don't believe that telling me to leave my home is a very "American" thing to do. For your edification, I spend 2 thirds (Roughly) of my time in the USA. I have a SENTRI trusted travelers card that 2/3's of the people in the US do not qualify for, so don't imply or outright tell me that I am un-American, Again, read what it says on the Statue of Liberty. Every person in the USA is either an immigrant or the direct line relative of one. Many people like the constitution, but only to the 2nd amendment, there are many more in the constitution that are more important than that one. For example, if the 14th is done away with, then it applies to every bodies citizenship rights, not just Latinos. Things always change and one should be careful of unexpected consequences. Also, It is the extreme right that is so freaked out by it, well there are many places that you may be interested in moving to, Brazil, Venezuela and a few European countries. So, there it is and 1 other thing, I am happy in life, I don't hate anyone as a group, I think that we all know what that means when one does...Mark
