My truck has the factory high idle and 3 cyl shutdown -unless I download the tune that has this setting will my factory high idle be effected? Here in the snowy and icy NE I expect I will be in the off position some of the time during the winter.
Thanks,
Jack

Hello Qaud, I know you are up to your eye ***** in stuff, but I was curious if you had any head way on the High Idle feature for the XZT+?

Yes, it is done but, we are changing some things in the code to make it better. Nothing you guys will notice but, something we needed to do. Should be up this week.

I was wondering the same thing today...temps are dropping this week. Anyway, thanks for your hard work and dedication to us. I know that you also do Chevy's and Fords so do you spend as much time with them as you do with us? I hope not because I'm the jealous type.

Not lately I have not!!!
Well, I have spent a lot of time on the LMM stuff lately.
I give up on the Fords. No matter what you do they are still well.............We can get into that later.

All kidding aside, the trucks are fine. The motors are not that bad although they have a couple of hangnails.
The problem I have with them is that they make everyting a PITA. Instead of using industry standard connections they mold special ones. Instead of using industry standard injection proceedures, they do something different. Just one silly thing after another and it is a pain.

Guys I think it's worth mentioning that the "high idle" of the Smarty is not really a feature of the unit-- it's part of the fact that it contains stock software. So it's not really something they can or should market as a unique "feature."
Now, if that feature was modified, I would say they could claim credit for that, imo. I personally would like the higher idle to happen at warmer temps (below 50 instead of below 35 or so) and have the 3-cyl feature come on momentarily below 30 or so, instead of like 13º or so.
In 3 years of living in WY, my truck only kicked into 3-cyl mode twice! I think WY gets cold enough...
