Wow my truck finally hauls now!
I installed my quadzilla xzillaraider today and i must say my truck really hauls the mail now! On level 3 it peels the tires and i can get 35psi of boost! I had an edge comp that i sent back to edge for repair but it didn't work when i got it back either, i could barely get 15psi. I'm pretty dissapointed with edge, i'm going to send the comp back to them with a nasty letter. It came with the truck so i can't really get a refund but i'll certainly never buy an edge product.
As for the quadzilla it was by far the best $320 i think a person can spend for a cheap powefull mod!

very nice i was thinkin about gettin an edge with attitude but now that you say edge is no good i am have second thoughts! so the quadzilla was only $320? dang thats cheap. whats it take to install? i have never heard of them!
Haven't had any problems with my comp, maybe whoever installed it prior wasn't careful installing it or you had a messed up wire, not sure exactly just saying, but glad to hear you like your new toy.

Super easy to install, you tap the VP44 wire and a wire on the APPS and you're good to go. I like the nice little remote that came with it as well, you can install it in a much handier place than the comp, i put mine right on top of the steering column. I think a lot of people have had good results with edge products but i've seen quite a few posts lately on here about guys having problems with comps not working. The cheapest i found was at vulcan performance.
I can't wait for someone to tell you that Jammers are the best too, and Phenioux (sp?) transmissions are the best too.!!
(sorry quad, I do not for one second equate your good product to a crappy tranny (alegedly)

If you have never heard of them, you need to do some reading in here. That's pretty funny how you dog on the edge and prop up the quad for only $320 !! Sounds like a Ronco commercial... Do you work for Quad?

After much study, I too am going to the Quadzilla (Commander) and maybe with one of their chips too. As an old guy that wears glasses, the larger display compared to The Edge Juice (controller) appeals to me. That and the fact that I can get a pillar mount included free and free overnight shipping for under $370 helps bunches too. Add the chip of choice (here's where I can't decide. Primarily, I'm after the best mileage I can get as I don't tow, I just commute 65 miles a day and like a big diesel pickup. Any suggestions on a mileage chip??) and the total was under $700 tho the puck has been seen for UNDER $200 which would bring total costs down further.
Until someone can convince me otherwise, I think the Quadzilla Commander is the superior product compared to Edge's setup. WITHOUT A CHIP this Quadzilla Commander can be used as a stand alone gauge setup that can monitor up to 6 aspects of your truck's performance that can be installed easier and faster than a conventional set of gauges, featuring an accurate, digital readout, all at about the same cost (as conventional gauges). Also, the Quadzilla setup includes the fuel pressure monitor whereas the Edge fuel pressure option is around $90 extra. FWIW....
Anyway's at the least, this Quadzilla Commander is going to show up here soon. If I'm lucky, there'll be some kind of mileage chip in the same box....

Just bought the Quadzilla gauge setup for my dads truck and had to pay $65 more to get the press. gauge option. And as far as Edge they have done very well by me.I have bought unexpectadly some used boxes for cheap $ that had problems and they fixed them for free and they work just like new. Those price for the Quadzilla box look awsome!! though.

The monitors are pretty close to each other in size, but you are correct about the guages (monitor) being a stand alone unit, that it a nice feature.
Also, you might want to check up on how each of these units makes power. I believe the quad is a fueling only box, whereas the Juice utilizes both fuel and timing.
The Edge Juice also just went up in price about $200...
I know you are talking about the Edge Comp, but if you are going to include monitor talk, the Juice needs to be in the discussion.
I have to chime in on this thread, since I got involved in a similar thread regarding the Xzillaraider module. There are apt to be bad products in anyone's lineup. We all want and expect perfection, but we need to remember that it is impossible to achieve. There are too many variables. Read posts here, and you will see as many people swear at products as swear by them. I purchased the Xzillaraider module for my truck, and initially had troubles with it. In my opinion, Quadzilla Performance went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue, the details of which are cataloged in other threads ("Tap or No", for one) so I won't go too deep here other than to say it is now fixed, and better than ever! My point is, read several threads and get several opinions. I love my Quadzilla Performance product, and recommend it highly, but I by no means want to slam another product. Many Edge boxes are running strong, and I have heard many good things about their service as well. I just felt the power to be realized, combined with customer service from Quad and Company, plus the awesome preice, made the Xzillaraider a perfect choice for me. Being a fueling box, I should be able to stack a Smarty or other timing module with it for even more in the future.
I am glad you love your Quadzilla product as much as I do, but I strongly caution anyone from blanket statements about other products based on one experience. Even Quadzilla has been gracious when discussing the competition, and it doesn't read like professional courtesy. More than once I have read from Quad how well the Edge EZ stacks with his fueling boxes.
Again, read up on the pros and cons of each, then make your own best decision. That way, you won't have to worry about following someone else's singular experience, possibly missing out on features or products that might better suit your personal needs or wants.
