Why A Gsk

First of all I want to thank the ones who have answered my questions in the past.

What is the reason for rising the RPMS do the trucks tow better well I get more MPH per gear? I have a 97 auto with a banks stinger plus and I plan on siding the plate forward. You think I mite get 270hp or should I get a TST 270 plate and would getting a GSK help towing, I tow a 11,000 lbs toy hauler?

Thanks JLo

The GSK is a god send

it will widen your normally narrow defueling at 2200 rpm stock power curve to allow you to fuel harder for at least 3200 RPMS.. That is if you have a 3K kit, i can fuel hard to 3400 or so and even more with a 4K kit.... Trust me with ur new plate and a GSK it will be a whole different truck..

TST 270 plate? never heard of it, but u can easily get over 270 rwhp with a bit more timing, a different more aggrressive plate, a 0 or a 100 (provided ur trans can hold it) and some DV's or even injectors, u will blow past 300 rwhp easily.... with the stinger, and an intake, and simply timing and a plate, u might be right at 270 rwhp.. I know taht my full banks powerpack was at about 260 ish or so, and all taht was was gauges, a 14cm exhaust housing, an actuator, a stinger exhaust, and a banks fuel plate.. I dont remember anything else.... The banks stuff came with my truck when i bought it, believe u me, its been long gone for a while now....

Before u do this tho, Kill that KDP, and get some gauges in ur ride, monitor the fuel ur gonna add to the fire

Hey Rick
The 270hp plate is TSTs #5 that they advertize I assume my truck is at 247rwhp so 270 would be nice. All I really want is to keep the truck in 3rd high towing my toy hauler. It has a VG and I can usually stay in 3rd high on most hills and keep the egt in the safe zone. Also the trans is not stock.

Wow, I gotta get a GSK. That just gave me chills thinking about it fueling through 3200 RPM's.

That truck

will be a whole different animal! get the 4K kit, the 3K will want u wanting more...

and

Jlo...

If ur trans is not stock, why not grind ur current plate to a 0 or 100 and pocket the money that you would have spent on the plate? The EGTS are controlable with the right foot, AFC, plate, and starwheel positioning..

Just a thought..
