Wheelskins pictures?
 

Anyone have a picture of what their steering wheel looks like with the Wheelskins cover on it? I bought one. I'm not too sure what to do about the horn button area.

I posted some pictures in my gallery. As soon as they get approved, you'll be able to see mine. The only thing is my truck has the newer 2nd gen steering wheel vs yours, but hopefully you'll get some ideas. Good luck, Matt

Thanks! My steering wheel has huge 'spokes' where the horn buttons are. Just thought I'd see what other people had done about that.

My pictures are approved now. Sorry for the quality, but I tried to get something quickly. The second one in is a tighter view to show the spokes. The biggest thing to remember is pull the last stitch before and after the spoke very tight (the waxed floss will hold) to pull out the slack. You'll still do stitches where the spoke is, just on the top side since that is what shows. Good luck, Matt

See, you're lucky in that your wheel has the 2 smaller spokes per side. Mine has the one enormous one per side. I hope I can get mine to come out as well as yours did. :p

I understand, I know what your wheel looks like. I would think if you do a stitch or 2 into the holes over the spoke and then pull the floss backwards around the front of the spoke to hit a hole on the back side similar in position, you will be pulling the leather of the wheelskin flat so it isn't loose, that would help. You can also do that on the other side of the spoke. You want to pull tension on that large expanse of untethered material on either side of the spoke so it doesn't flap or get loose. When you start the project, hopefully what I wrote will make sense.
