whats the best lift kit?
im saving up to buy a 4x4 2500 cummins 96 auto. im going to use the truck as a daily driver but i need a lift kit to get to construction sites with. i will also be towing with the truck, i need a lift kit that wont effect the towability of the truck. price is somewhat limited.
any help would be great |
well, i can think of 3 great ones that i have used, and know work, one is superlift, but that one was about the hardest ride you'll ever have. second is rize, they are a great lift, good ride, good towing, good articulation, just a great lift. the third is the one im using now. thats skyjacker, ive got a 12" lift, and it rides really good, it also pulls really good with a trailer. i would never want to pull a trailer with another 12" lift that i have seen, except for rize. skyjacker has decent articulation, but the best ride for both on road and REALLY hard offroad driving.

Try using the "search" function, hours of reading. This has been debated ad nauseum.....
It boils down to how much additional ride height you want and what you're willing to spend. Just keep in mind you usually get what you pay for. |
I ain't run a bunch of different lifts but I've had good luck with my skyjacker 4.5" lift. I did end up going with an aftermarket track bar because their bracket was shoddy at best but I recommend that with any company's lift kit. My ride ain't the smoothest in the world but it's no harsher than stock. It does flex decently well and has held up to some off roading and mudding events.
