I have a stock turbo with a turbo orfix valve, would getting and aftermarket wastegate help me any or is it a waste of money? thanks

 

What you want is,,, a boost fooler ...I got mine from DTR it tells the wastegate you NEED more through the turbo and you get a bunch more ZOOM... I love mine...its like Night and Day

Is your truck an automatic or a manual? If it's an auto you'll have to either get a J-hook or a turnbuckle to keep the wastegate shut to build more boost.

But if it's a manual, then you can use a boost elbow to thread into the turbo to allow more boost.

its a manual tranny but i dont think they make a boost fooler for a 2001 dodge

 

If you have the Edge chip as it says in your signature, you don't need a boost fooler. The chip has one built into it. That way you can up the boost and not throw any codes or defuel.

Did you install the Edge? It should have came with a 90 degree brass elbow that screws into the turbo where the wastegate line attaches.

yea its called a turbo orfix valve and yea i installed it thanks for the help guys. and you can get that valve from xtremediesel.com
