Turning a 97 dodge into a 11 second drag truck

Any ideas on where to start on a 97 dodge, 3.54 gears, auto tranny 215hp stock fuel pump, daul 4" stacks. To get in transformed in to a 11 second drag truck. it is all going to take place at one time and money is not a concern.

Twins, fuel plate, injectors, billet tranny, gauges, cam, drugs. That should get ya going. A b1/b2 set of twins, #0 plate, some DDP4 injectors, DTT billet tranny, H2 cam from don m, and some nitrous. That oughta get ya close. Oh yeah, don't forget things like timing and o-rings and studs.

Ill second what BB said. If Money is not a concern send your 215 pump to piers of schieds and tell them how much HP you want. Send your tranny to DTT or the auto builder of your choice. Have rings and studs done. Get a little blue bottle two turbos and save some of that money for when other stuff breaks.

If you really plan on running 11's then I think most 1/4 mile tracks that go by nhra or ihra rules require a roll cage when you run 11.99et so throw that into the mix as well.

just my .02

I agree as well. If I were you though, I'd send my pump off to have it built for racing (ie. Peirs stupid pump). Good luck

if you've already swapped a 215 pump on there, you don't need to send it off anywhere... some lazer cut DV's and some big honkin injectors will flow plenty enough to get into the 11's.

the HotRodDiesels truck went 11.36 on fuel w/ a 215 pump a couple weekends ago... it's got more in it... I don't even think he's running big DV's. with some water/meth and some bigger DV's/injectors, it could get interesting.

Mike at HotRodDiesels told a buddy of mine that if he had to rate his injectors like new era's (370s, 435s) that his would be 635s... lol, so they must be hockin' big!

lighten up the truck, a single cab 2wd with slicks would do it easier IMO

Very true. I've heard of some big numbers coming out of a truck with a B2, nitrous, and ALOT of fuel!
