turbo options?? any one got ideas??

I just installed a set injectors and its fun but now it needs more boost, the turbo is stock and its pegged at 35psi money is a option so what's out there that will get more boost at a budget it price. Egts have reached 1900 when I stand in it for a extended time period, also how much boost will the stock head gasket hold before it needs studded?

Depending on what you plan to do with the truck I would lean toward a 67/71 or an ED 62/68/14 for that size of injector. Search for posts by "bridleman" on this forum. His posts are really helpful and detailed for turbo selection!

if you have the stock hy (if an 01 and auto you would have) its seriously too small, I was overfueling with The J/A on level 3 and 80hp inj!

for cheaper you can instal a he351 from an 04.5 and up, I just did it friday and cant say if is better yet....but will update as I go, cost me about 350$ to install that included all the parts(turbo/down pipe etc)

I went from an HY to an HX and there was a huge drop in EGT's, some people dont report the same, but at the time I found a used hx for 100$ so it was well worth it
here is a link that Patracy started, lots of info in there
