turbo dieing ??? sugestions Help! parked
what else would make egts high. I still had 30psi of boost then I took off the turn buckle now I have 22lbs checked air filter uninstalled the hypertech turned off the comp and still see 1000* with ease running empty. with the comp on one I can't stay on the fuel for more then a few seconds forget any other settings.
the impeller has more play in it than I think it should. when I bought the truck it had none to very little play you couldn't see it move but you could feel just the slightest movement but know it has 1/16 to 1/8 of play side to side. with that much boost is it safe to say no boost leak. would a hx-40 be a good choice for now..
THANKS in advance
Rick

There are several good choices of turbos for your truck. What you want to do is pick the right turbo for the application an desired performance goals.
As for your current turbo does it have any in/out play or is it all side to side? Is the truck running normal? Is the only symptom you are seeing is high egt? It could be the pyro or thermocouple.....
