Tuff Country Ladder Bar Review
Tuff Country Ladder Bar Review
In my quest to strengthen my drivetrain and cure my wandering issues I decided to install these ladder bars. The install is pretty easy. You mount the bracket under the front u-bolt, drill 8 1/2" holes in your frame (4 per side) and bolt the bars on. So, after buying new u-bolts (stock ones were bent and to short) and lossening the tank and crushing my hand to put the drivers side bolt in, I got them installed. Yall are gonna think I'm nuts but after installing these my steering wheel is now straight and the truck is aligned perfectly. Don't ask me how because the rear axle was sitting square in the frame but the steering wheel is straight and the truck is aligned. The truck also rides like a dream. No more hopping or bucking or bouncing. Bumps I used to grit my teeth on are smoothed out. The truck also handles better. No more body roll when going really fast through turns (which is something I do every day). You can actually feel the rear suspension working now instead of just sitting there. The whole truck just feels 10x more solid. I highly recommend this mod. It's definately worth the $350.
