hey its not a big deal dinner im just reading what everyone has to say about them i think im gonna go with the TST and stack it with my smarty
|
ive heard of tons of issues with the quadzilla. you could find a used tst or edge for that matter and spend the other money elsewhere like injectors or other parts
|
I have a TST pm2 and love it other than its non adjustable. But I plan to eventually stackin with smarty so adjustability is not a big deal. Would love the pm3 but it was on the truck when I bought it. Heck I think on the cummins forum a guy was sellin a TST pm2 and wanted like 150 or less for it
|
i have a tst pm3 comp stacked with a edge ez make a ton of power and spools the turbo like crazy no lag at all when the box is on.altough i daily drive with just ez on.you will not be dissapointed!!

well i orderd the TST Competition version yesterday along with my Mach 5's "they will be 2 weeks" waitin on parts to build them and i read on TST's website they claim.
On a So pump 180 Hp 450 FPT and they said it will fuel to 4500 RPM i think with that TST and my injectors i might dround my HTT 64 so i might not even get to stack her with my smarty |

Dglass89- It will only fuel to about 3600rpm.
I bet with Mach 5s she's gonna get HOT! Should run real strong. Stack the Smarty, your gonna want some timing. Josh |
I've been reading that the TST Comp has some surging throughout the RPM Range, is this true?

To answer previous question.... The PM3 adds up 150 hp to an automatic with big injectors. On a Manual you might see 160. The Adrenaline has produced honest 180 hp for me, but has some pros & cons. Pro - Custom tuning and many more fun readouts than any box on the market. Also box goes under the hood, where it belongs, IMO. CON - Fueling it very quick and tempremental and does cause some surging if daily driving on higher hp settings. TST will work more smoothly because it only fuels after boost comes in. Unless going for all the hp you can get...TST PM3 is good bet. But I love my Adrenaline also.:) RJ |
IMHO,....TST builds an excellent box and you are not going to find a company that will give you better service than Mark and Gina Chapple at "TST Products."

That's good to hear Row and John. Sounds like it is a pretty good box with very little/no issues. I will def have to keep it in mind once I get the tranny and headstuds/o-ring done on my 01.

i heard that the comp version adds timing
|
With just a regular TST I've run a 7.7@88.72 in the 1/8 mile, don't have any 1/4 mile times yet. I hope to run in the high 11's to low 12's come this weekend at Rockingham.
IMO you can't ask for much more than what a TST will give you in performance on the track. |
I've found my spool up to be much better with the TST Comp pm3 and EZ over the drag comp I use to run. I've tried both versions of the mad software on my ecm with a drag comp and a TST with no luck. And the only 2 adrenalines I've been around weren't worth the trouble they are causing the owners. 1 guy sold his and the other guy is still trying to get his to make power. Be sure you read all the forum posts on Adrenaline issues and make your mind up from that. One thing I would recommend for any box you install is to solder the wires instead of using the quick clip style connectors. It will eliminate many of the problems people have with boxes seeming to miss or hesitate.

The TST COMP doesn't add timing, and I have noticed no surging throughout the RPM range with mine.
