A triple would result in a slightly slower ET because it is heavier than the single. Then again, a slipping single is slower than a triple that holds...........

If a triple slows a truck down, then those 5-disk SC converters that Garmon, Morrison, Stuckey and TS run must be slowing them down by a second Imagine if they just ran singles

I think theoretically a triple could slow it down cause it does take more power to spin but I don't think it's a noticeable difference.

The slightly slower (tenths of a second) figure comes directly from DTT.

You get that from them before or after they started selling tripple disk converters?

I dont see how, it is not like we are talking about spinning another 100 lbs here. I see what you are alluding to, (rotational mass) but if it costs tenths or fractions of tenths then the fastest trucks in the country would not be running them

When Bill recently recommended that I go with the triple disk and I started asking questions they told me it would be slightly slower than a single because it is heavier.

I wish someone would get the straight scoop. We all know of single DTT's handling almost 900 HP?

I was led to believe the triple disk was for those that asked for one and were determined to have one..... A marketing tool so as not to lose business. This philosophy is understandable but I know of no weakness in the single disk DTT converter. Love mine!

Recommending triple disks now?????

I have seen those Dyno sheets. I have also seen a 1020 hp sheet from a DTT equipped truck..... Has nothing to do with the question. I wanna know how a multiple disc design "slows" a truck down.

I believe the original question was Triple Disk or Single.

You are right... Maybe I need to start a new thread.

.......Why would you go to the effort to build and sell a multi disc if it slows you down and you never recommended one before? Just seems silly to build and sell an inferior product if you don't believe in it?
