hello, i just picked up my 98 12 valve not to long ago and it is slow compared to my bombed 93. so at the moment i dont have any money for gages but that will be my first purchase. my question is how much hp can the stock manual take? also everything being stock how hot will a motor get with a 100 plate?

 

has anyone run a 100 plate on a stock clutch? will the clutch hold up to a 100? for those of you that run a 100 plate what are your egt's like?

 

I would be willing to bet that your stock manual would be able to handle that, if not I know it would handle a #10. The 5spd. is a whole different story compared to the stock auto. If you needed, you could get a decent clutch for it for not too much money and really have a decent setup. I'm sure Box5 will jump on this as soon as he wakes up.
