Ok I have an auto tranny and am wanting more power I was thinking about 5-600 hp and I know that the tranny will not handle a fraction of that. I want a tranny that will hold up to that many hp and don't want to spend a fortune any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

If you want that much power there is no such thing as getting off cheap as I have found out first hand. http://www.goerend.com give them a call and you will get more transmission than you need for a fair price and the best service that i have found

3500 non billet 4000 billet or drive/ship yours there and it's cheaper. He only replaces parts necessary but 5-600 HP I'd go full billet new and his triple disk converter.

On a side note about his converters he was showing me last week about a turbine in the converter that he modifies for what your doing, he called it a torque multiplier, he has a sled puller 1/4 mile turbine 15 fins vs 17 stock and deeper fins, a puller/hauler turbine very similar but the fins are tapered at the ends to allow more fluid to pass to get you going, and a stock 17 fin turbine again longer fins. He tried to give me a complete breakdown of his converters and I managed to capture about 10% of what he said. Dave knows what he's doing.

 

I got mine for 3550 shipped to my shop. I could not be any more happy and if it hold the kind of h-e-l-l that i give it you wont have any problem
