Traction Bars
I looked at that link above but couldn't find any pics of traction bars or where/how to get them. A little help please
http://www.lazarsmith.com/tractionbars.html try that link it should be right on the page if it works. If not just go to their website, click on science and then traction bars.
Those from One Up Offroad look good. I emailed them to see how much a set would be and several other companies with them, just to compare prices and how they look. I don't know that I want the whole traction block deal right now or just the bars and bolt them on. But I do like those from one up offroad.
Yep those are some big heim joints for sure, one thing I did do on mine is I ended up going with a soft rubber style bushing on the front mounting of the bars, because when you use solid mounts front and rear you really feel the driveline, not so much a vibration, kinda hard to explain it but almost like a worn out bearing kinda feel

Thanks
Traction bars are a bad idea if you articulate your suspension at all. They don't move in the same arc that your leaf springs do and create a whole bunch of stress. It is best to get a leaf pack that takes out the factory lift block and limits axle wrap. Contact Deaver in Santa Ana, CA and they can help you out. Eric
Those joints are made by http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/ they are the best joints out there I feel . I use them all the time when I'm making longer front control arms .The reason I feel they are better is as they wear they have a spanner nut that you can keep tightening up where all the others have a snap ring and once the start wearing and getting loose there is no adjustment that you can make .
I too am currently building a set of traction bars for my truck. I researched this for a long time. I like Lazar's bars, but there is some things I didnt like about them. I wanted something to match the front control arms on my truck. Just me I guess but I wanted it to look the same. I wanted the same brackets that hold my front control arms on the frame and wanted the same diameter pipe as the front ones. I have an RCD lift on my truck and what a pain it was getting the brackets, but I did get them. I bought the pipe on ebay, as well as the johnny joints, jamb nuts, and poly bushings with sleeves. I also really liked the way RCD mounts thier bars on the rear axle, you can buy just the mount kit, so I have done that. Yes I will have to do some welding but no biggie I work with alot of very skilled welders. Right now I am about at $450 in parts. And will have to have it powder coated to match the rest of the truck. Most are around that price so I didnt save much but I went top quality on the parts. I will get some pics up when I get better.
The bars with rubber bushing solved my problem, my rear springs would start to wobble when I was driving around 40 mph under load, tried everything but the bars cured it for good..
